Employment Services are facility-based and community-based programs for individuals with disabilities ages 16 and older. Employment Services includes the following programs: Pre-vocational Services, Extended Services, and Workplace Assistance Services. These programs are designed to assist individuals gain the skills and knowledge necessary to find and maintain employment independently, as well as support the individual in the workplace to maintain employment. During their time, the individual will learn various skills such as, compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, safety skills, completing applications, job interview skills, dressing appropriately for job interviews, effective communication skills, how to build and create a resume, job-specific skills and much more.

MDS is also partnering with the Social Security Administration to offer participation in the Ticket to Work Program as an Employment Network. Ticket to Work is a free and voluntary program available to individuals ages 18 through 64 who are blind or have a disability and who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. We will collaboratively develop a plan to help individuals reach their work goals. We will then help individuals make progress towards those goals and, eventually, a more financially independent future.

Our primary service location is on the southwest side of Indianapolis at our Adult Day Program facility. Funding for our Employment Services is available through the FS and CIH waivers in Indiana. Private pay rates are also available.
