Meaningful Day Services is branching out to provide Adult Day Services forĀ individuals with developmental disabilities.

Adult Day Services are not for everyone, but if someone you care about has not been successful in other settings, they may find success within our setting. Our Adult Day Services looks at what needs to be provided instead of just what is required, develops skills, increases abilities, and is uniquely designed to meet each individual's specific needs.

All individuals referred for services through MDS, Inc. receive a full assessment designed to evaluate the needs and strengths of the individual. Recommendations are reviewed by the individual and his/her interdisciplinary team. Objectives are developed based on the needs outlined and the priorities designated. Areas of skill development may include any or all of the following:

  • Self-help
  • Communication
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Emotional Development
  • Social Development
  • Physical Health
  • Weight Loss/Maintenance
  • Emotional Wellness
  • Leisure Skills
  • Educational Performance
  • Vocational Performance

Meaningful Day Services uses multiple modalities to improve individual success. They include:

  • Specific curriculum designed for high functioning individuals who have not been successful in other placements.
  • Unique supports for lower functioning individuals allowing greater communication and participation
  • Sensory Integration
  • Occupational Therapy
