Maprang Fakto, MT-BC

Music Therapist

My Name is Maprang Fakto. Although I was born in Thailand my family moved to Lexington, Kentucky when I was 10 years old. After High School, I moved to Louisville to attend the University Of Louisville School Of Music with the viola as my primary instrument. I chose to major in Music Therapy because I wanted to use music as a part of a therapeutic team to promote overall physical and mental well-being. I have been fortunate to work and learn as a music therapy intern at Meaningful Day Services. During my time here, I have served clients with visual impairments, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and in early childhood settings. I genuinely enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities and I appreciate each unique individual's response to music! I have gained valuable experience during my clinical work and was pleased when I was asked to stay and join the music therapy team upon graduation. I am very excited and I am looking forward to serving clients in southern Indiana!
