I started my profession in the Development Disability field in 2007 working on a grant to help transition individuals out of high school and into appropriate services. At that time I was able to help individuals obtain employment, move into residential settings, and explore day service options. I also have had experience as a group home manager, QDDP, and Day Service Director. Through this experience I have learned to overcome the challenges in multiple service settings. In addition, I have been a caregiver myself to a loved one struggling with dementia and I understand the challenges that one can face in that situation. I am very passionate about supporting our individuals to become more independent as well as to provide support to our caregivers in the challenges they face daily. I reside on a small farm outside of Ladoga with my husband and my many small animals.
