Recreational Therapist

In 2008, I joined the MDS team so that I can assist more people to get the most out of life. Before coming to MDS, I had over 7 years experience working with children and adults with mostly physical disabilities in volunteer capacities. I had not really worked much with people with developmental disabilities until I came here; but now I feel like this is the setting where I am meant to be. I actually got into recreational therapy because I wanted to find ways to use my personal interests, like crafts and my llamas, to benefit other people and I am excited about all that I have been able to do so far and will continue to do in the future.
